I earned a Bachelor's of Science in Education from Iowa State University.  The final semester of my studies cocluded with a study abroad experience where I lived and taught in New Zealand.  After student teaching, I was a subsitute teacher in northeast Iowa for one semester before I began working for Boone Schools as an eighth grade math teacher.  While teaching in Boone, I earned a Master's of Science in Educational Leadership.  I taught for four years in Boone before accepting a position teaching eighth grade Pre-Algebra and Algebra at Northview Middle School in Ankeny.  If I could chose any age of students to work with, it would certainly be this one.  The students in Ankeny are a joy to teach and are the primary reason I love my job!
